I am particularly interested in this prediction:

Does that mean that it was planned before Judas was even born that he would betray Jesus?

Judas clearly regretted his actions, and offered his life as an apology. However, since suicide is considered a sin, is Judas now in Hell?

Every mention in the New Testament of God moving in people’s lives is when they have made a choice to move toward him.
He will never violate anyone’s free will, or force himself into their lives.
If you don’t want anything to do wth him, you can have that. You will have all that you want on your own and also have all the consequences.
But for those that open to him, with their hearts as much as their minds, then God can enter thier lives and give them his abundance and unfailing life promises.
We move a little, he moves a lot.

He wants relationship with each person, but will not force it apart from their want of him.

Doesn’t it seem right when we have chosen against him in our hearts and behavior?

And then he loves, cares for and protects us so much when we are his.
Mamm – but that life was not saved.

So Christians why is it God will not make anyone perfect so he can sacrifice his son?

Tell me why you believe God, who can do all things, does not take a man or woman that seeks his face and searches for his understanding and ways and to walk perfect like God, answers the mans prayer and makes him perfect. But says he will not allow no one to be perfect and he refuses to teach anyone to be holy and righteous because he has another plan and that is to see his son suffer on a cross so they can all live by grace shouting he can rise, he can rise, he must be a God he can rise from the dead??? As God dances around he can nail his son up, but can not make anyone really righteous and holy…

why Can God not simply take the praying man or woman that is seeking perfection as a God that can do all things and change the mans(woman’s)free will and make him or her perfect and worthy of heaven? The man was a sinner, but then is changed by Gods great power and wisdom and made perfect in his image(hell if he needed a sacrifice the man kills a lamb, like in the old testament))….but instead Gods other way was to nail his son up and dance he is powerful he can rise again, but as long as the MIGHTY and powerful devil is in the world, God and all his wisdom is not wise enough to make someone Truly holy and righteous and perfect….just his marvellous grace, blood washed filled christian that is still a sinner…WHY????

Why is marijuana and the people who use it so vilified?

I understand the prohibition against it demands that virtually ANYONE who uses it becomes a criminal, even if otherwise the herb consumers are a law abiding citizens, respect the law and it’s enforcers, and understand the need for authority. I don’t personally identify with the idea of “Religion” but I was raised Free Will Baptist and I have made a genuine study of Christianity and the Bible in it’s many available versions since I was a teenager. The very first 5 books of the Old Testament are ancient books not only used by Christians but Muslims and Jews as well. The Creator, asserted themselves (read it for your self if you doubt), to man #1 and woman #1, that they were being gifted all the animals and seed bearing plants to assist them to provide for their needs. Only ONE exception was made and I dont think anyone has ever suggested that the Tree of Knowledge was a marijuana plant. I only know I suffer far less in body, mind and soul when I use it. Why do folks think its so bad?

Do angels have free will?

This is a question I see debated a lot these days. No yahoo questions are still open for debate, so I decided to post the question again a some recent findings.

Psalm 103:20-21 “Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word. Bless ye the LORD, all ye his hosts; ye ministers of his, that do his pleasure.” Their purpose is to do His commandments, hearken to His voice, and do His pleasure.

Well there is biblical proof that angels do not have free will. Now that we know that there is no free will in angels.
How did Satan and his 1/3 rebel? Further more, how did Satan get an apple and a conversation past an all knowing “God” If the Christian god has a perfect plan, why are there a new and old testament? Why create to judge and condem? Why fire for being apart form the pack? What was the point of creating a huge world, making a small garden, and sticking the one thing they couldn’t have right in the middle of the garden? If you were going to judge some ones goodness, would you really tell them about it? Jesus’ deaths, why is it in one he knows what’s going, why he’s here, where’s he’s going, on and saves someone, and another he’s lost, confuzed, asking ” my god ,my god why have you forsaken me?” It was written by men for men. Men who had poor story sturcture skills and little understanding of the way the world really is. Sea monsters were a sill considered a threat when the stories were written.

In my opinion, if there is a god, it’s is not of any religion on the face of the earth. The only way to find out what god is would be to find out what god isn’t. No one can tell you anything about god, They will only tell you an opinion. Listen to the little voice in you head saying “wait a sec, think for your self.” Imagination can be fun, but the world is real and it’s the only one we have. Maybe we should act as such.
At what point did the ones that would be the fallen become the fallen? How did they get to this point while still doing as god commands while still angels and not yet having the punishment. To do as someone commands is just that. If god was to say stop, they must. To do his pleasure? Was a rebellion to gods pleasure? Must every thing be spelled out? Someone who does as someone else commands or pleases, they are not of their own will.

The Jewish religion clearly takes the stance that they do not have free will. And that Christ was the just a man and not the son of god. They still await the birth to this day. I am unhappy with all the posts. I am looking for evidence, not personal beliefs. Beliefs are no good to me as they were formed by people. Where in the bible does it state that they do have free will? If is doesn’t then your view holds no water. Where did you get this belief? Otherwise god could have stopped the war with a word. So, just the facts please.

Question regarding my great grandfathers will, unrighteous distribution.?

Here is the basis of the situation. My mother has been taking care of my grandfather full time 24/7 for the last 8 years, and part time for 5 years before that. He basically raised my brother and I along side of my mother and thus I consider him as my own father. We live in WI. There had been large disputes in regards to his will because he was leaving my brother mother and I virtually nil, despite the fact that we took care of him. He is leaving 61% control of the house we live in, the car we drive; to his son of whom has lived in Texas since ’73 and has never showed at all, especially during the scary times; ie: 2 brain surgeries, a quadruple heart bypass, he recently fell before he passed, for a 90 year old man my mom brother and I were heavily scared and concerned.

My mom brother and I get 13%, but it isn’t the percent of the gross amount its percent of the interest accumulated every year from the total amount…my brother and I are young 23 and 22. we could care less about us, we don’t desire to benefit from our grandfathers death, I know he wished us a secured and good life, but we are more so concerned with what our mother deserves. 13 years of her life devoted to this man, and he last month before he passed was going to amend the will to provide my mother with what she deserves. He passed very suddenly as well, as he left peacefully in his sleep the 2nd. Anyways my grandfather came up from Texas and supposedly to mourn, we all know he’s just here to collect and go back home and never speak to anyone again like usual. He has control of our house, we don’t want him to have to ability to sell it out of underneath us. He is a greedy, fake man and does not deserve to call himself our great grandfathers son if he couldn’t be there at all during his life.

What can we do, to contest this will and right the wrongs? His lawyer knew that he wanted to change the will to solid 25% gross amount 4 ways before he passed. Its just hard to consider that my mom could be left without a house, car, any money as she was so selfless for the last 13 years to a wonderful man whom cannot be there to help. My fiance’s father’s mother recently passed and her will had a similar issue in IL, he mentions the way he gained control form his selfish brother who had full control of everything was prove that he had taken care of her for the last 10 years and no one else. Doctor visits, bills, everything to prove, he said he thought it was called the caretakers act? I would like to know if this is a possibility and what we can do in WI to amend this and get what we righteouslyy deserve and serve our g. grandfathers memory by not wasting everything he has earned and we have worked for on his son. I thank everyone in advance for trying to help me in this very confusing situation.

Will Hillary concede if she loses Ohio or Texas?

At a certain point, things break down. To answer my own question I had to think of this:

How ‘strong’ or electable is a candidate if they lose 12 caucuses/primaries in a row? How can she hope to win the nomination is close if she is losing in pledged delegates by a margin of 100+ that is growing with each state? How can she go on, knowing that she will split the party, if she tries to have Michigan and Florida seated after a non-contest? Can she really rely on the party establishment’s superdelegates picking her over Obama despite him having more states won, more pledged delegates, and more votes? Does she have the money for a protracted battle in court or the primaries? If she cannot stop Obama in states with overwhelmingly favorable demographics to her, then where can she stop him?

The answer appears to be a resounding ‘no’ to these questions. I think this race is probably going to end before Pennsylvania.

Divorce with children in Texas?

I have a question, I want to file for my divorce in Harris County Texas and I want to have the custody and child support set up through the attorney general. We have no assets together and he will not contest me on any issues, we have come to that agreement. But, do I have to have the order by the AG set in stone, when I go to get a divorce, or will the judge make it mandatory that a custody and child support is set up before we are granted a divorce. Or can I do my divorce seperate, and go through the AG seperately? My daughter was born before we were married and he is on her birth certificate.

How should I go about getting a will written?

Firstly my circumstances so that you can consider this when providing a response:- I am 28 years old, single, mum and dad alive and have 2 sisters (one married). I have 2 properties, run my own business, a healthy bank balance, and invetsments in stocks and gold bullion, and a nice car. I have 2 large mortgages and a student loan, so whilst owning quite a bit I also have large but manageable debts. Not rich by any means but have responsibilities. My family is small and depend on me a lot when it comes to financial decisions, so my accountant has told me that I realy should get a will written.

I did some google searching and really confused as to how I should go about this.

Considering my circumstances, do you think I can use one of those cheaper online will writing services, or do you think I should get it done by a solicitor? If your view is the latter, how much would it cost to use a solicitor in London and can you recommend anyone?

GaryM – that’s a bit harsh! In order to get decent advice it’s important to know the facts about my circumstances. I am asking for free advice because I have mortgage payments that are really high, tax bills coming through my ears, no relatives that have ever given me a penny for freem and the expectation to support an entire family …. trust me, you would also be working 5 times harder than your peers if you were in my shoes. Israel boycotted the meeting. Moreover,Israel made quite clear that she got tired of the constant and awkward meddling of all these EU,USA ,Russia and other “benefactors” in the negotiations between herself and Palestinian Arabs.According to a statement by Israel’s UN Ambassador Gabriela Shalev, “Israel does not believe that the involvement of the Security Council contributes to the political process in the Middle East. This process should be bilateral and left to the parties themselves.”
This,however,was taken as something natural by the Security Council;the declaration clearly favours Arabs.But what happened next made the Western and Russian politicians gasp. The Palestinian Authority delegation ALSO did not take part and boycotted the meeting.
Seems the Arabs also start to understand that it´s better to negotiate with Israel directly without Obama,Ban Kee Moon,Lavrov and other sides full of good intentions(with which, as we know, the road to Hell is paved).

My Answer: Well I would’ve originally picked Sonu Nigam from India, but after discovering this new singer off of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa named Debonit Dutta, who happens to have a developmental disability (I believe he has some variant of Mental Retardation)..i think he would make a most excellent choice!

The choice alone stands out and will be a great conversation starter amongst my guests..plus they’ll never forget the inspiration that this man will bring to the table w/ his captivating performance. My husband was injured in 2006 and as a result of the injury he has seizures. He is on medication for the rest of his life. The lawyer won the 1st part of the case and we are expecting a good amount of money when the case is settled… I am on the lawsuit also. My husband said he is afraid that he will die from these seizures and we want to do a living will. He put me and his 3 kids down on the will. When the case is settled he is going to give his ex wife some money for raising the kids by herself cause he wasnt there most of the kids years when growing up and I have no problem with that and he will give his kids some money… but will the exwife have any other legal rights to the money? I hope not.
She is not at all mentioned on the will i am the one distrubuting the money to me and the kids if anything happens to him… he will leave her 30,000 from it that is all.

Legal Test To Determine Competency?

I went with my grandfather today to talk to his accountant about setting up a trust and they said that because he has early Alzheimers that he will have to take a some legal test that determines if he can make decisions on his own before signing a trust. They said I could look up a sample version of the test online so he can get a idea of what they will ask him, but I don’t know what the name of the test is.

1. The position of perpetrators and the size of losses in fraud schemes.

Employee was more than five times as high as the percent of cases caused by percent of owner and executive, and almost two times higher than percent of manager. It shows that employee need to more training and watching for anti-fraud. Usually high position person will tend to have the more powerful effect on the median loss in organization. Most the position of median loss was owner and executive who have high authority need to more responsibility of anti-fraud and self-monitoring because the number of median loss was nine hundred thousand dollars which is fourteen times higher than the employee’s median loss, and six times more than the median loss in schemes involving manager.

2. The annual income of perpetrators and the size of losses in fraud schemes.

The percentage of cases in occupational fraud slightly decreased as annual income increased. This data was very similar to research of the effect of the perpetrator’s position. This research shows that usually upper-level person would have more salary than lower position person such as employee and manager. In this data, we had to focus on the perpetrator earned between over fifty thousand dollars and less fifteen thousand dollars because the perpetrators were almost forty percentages of all cases and they had significant effect on size of median losses in a fraud scheme. There were very small percent of perpetrator to get salary more than two hundred thousand dollars per year , but they were the median loss was very big number of median losses which is around twenty times higher than the perpetrator earned less than fifty thousand dollars.

3. The length of time perpetrators have been employed with victim organization and the size of losses in fraud schemes.

Similar to the result data on position and annual income, usually the length of time perpetrators related with their salary and position. The median loss in a fraud schemes generally increased with the length of time perpetrators who worked in organization but the highest percentage of cases was perpetrator work between three and five years and they were almost two times as high as the median loss caused by perpetrators who worked between one and two years. And this is most single highest increased of median loss between two sample of cases. It showed that the employee works for three to five years in organization, they had actual advantage, authority and trust from other employees. The important point of anti-fraud is to monitor and keep the balance of their delegation authority and to avoid too much trust and control power to a few employees without damage of autonomy.

4. The frequency of fraud schemes committed by male versus female.

In 2002, I found that the number of men in a fraud scheme was just little more than women. It was only seven percentages difference between men and women. I thought this came from inequality to get a job but now it seems to be equal. There didn’t find any significant difference between men and women. The men of median loss were relatively higher than women but it came from men tending to occupy more higher and authority position in organization. It will be same in the future.

5. The age of perpetrators and the frequency of fraud schemes committed.

The effect of age is not primary reason to relate with a fraud scheme but age is one of secondary factor. This data is correlation in other research between the age and the position because generally old employee had more high position in organization. Over sixty years old employee of the perpetrator’s frequency was only two point five percentages but the median loss of over sixty ages were five hundred thousand dollars which is five times higher than over thirty one years` employees and twenty seven times as high as the median loss caused by under twenty six who called entry level in organization. Almost sixty five percentages age of the perpetrator in data was over the age of thirty one and under fifty in 2004, those had most significant influence in organization. These data shows that the organization would need to educate strong anti-fraud program before over thirty year’s employees.

The perpetrators had post graduate degree and bachelor degree, the median loss committed by those was over two hundred forty three thousand dollars which was three times higher than the perpetrators who had high school diploma or less. Generally higher educated person will tend to occupy more authority and high position in company. MUSLIMS and CHRISTIANS: Is there any combining the two?

I read somewhere once (I don’t remember where, it was a magazine I think) that at the time that Mohammad was dictating the Koran, he had many followers. Each of them kept their own accordance of his teachings, and each of their bloodlines became a tribe. Some of these tribes kept and studied the previous two Testaments, while others rejected the earlier scriptures in favour of their version of Mohammad’s message. Among these tribes, war broke out. It said that one or a few of the tribes believed in Jesus as the Messiah, or at least the Son of God. But, those tribes were overpowered and their version of beliefs all but vanished.

Now, Muslims believe that Mohammad was the final messenger from God. That’s fine, maybe he was, maybe he wasn’t. I don’t know either way. The Bible doesn’t say if there will be any prophets after what is written there, so it’s entirely likely that Mohammad was a messenger from God. All I know is that I respect Islam, and I find it to be a very compelling religion. I also feel very strongly that Jesus is the Saviour. Obviously this causes a sort of conflict, but it is beside the point of the question.

So on with it, then: Later I read another thing, I can’t remember where (surprised?), that said that there are currently small, non-mainstream movements within Judaism, Christianity, and Islam to rectify the differences between the three faiths and come up with a sort of combined religion. IMO, this doesn’t sound like such a bad idea.

So the question(s) comes down to this: Is this true? Has anyone else read anything like this? If so, where can I find information about it (online, books, etc)? And finally, what do you think of this? Good or bad idea?

Ok just the facts:
December 2007 I caught my wife engaged in an online affair. She apologized, cried and begged for me to forgive her – I did or at least I was willing to try.
May 31 2008 we have a stupid fight, and she leaves me to give us some time to think. ok, cool.
June 4 2008 she left the state going to FL to stay with relatives (yeah right)
June 19 2008 i found out she got engaged to the same person she was having the online affair with who happens to live where? FL… Coincidence? she would like for me to believe so.
June 20 to now…she has not made an attempt to come back but has kept in constant communication with me. So you know, Im a nice guy, maybe to nice, but I’m thinking to myself where is she going with all this? Shouldn’t matter I know – but my curiosity has me peaked. She claims she was unhappy and that i didn’t seem to have time for her – which is partly true cause I had to work two jobs (a full and a part) cause she wouldn’t work one. She says she still loves me, misses me, in love with me, yadda, yadda…So I decided to test her testaments of love so in August I asked her to give our marriage a 2nd chance and she responds with “Now? I can’t now.” I said ok but I said to myself “well if not now, then when…when your relationship with him doesn’t work?”

But what I don’t understand is, and YA help me on this, if I made her so miserable, she was so unhappy or whatever (which I don’t think it was I just think she saw what looked like greener pastures) then why would she want to stay in contact with me? What purpose would a “friendship” serve? I mean this makes no sense to me…if you’re engaged you’re supposed to be happy right? There should be nothing else for us to talk about right? Am I wrong? how effective are the “Do it yourself” Last Will and Testament forms found online?

If the estate is simple: i.e.: stocks, bonds, mutual funds, cash, and property with no children are these do it yourself online forms effective enough? My only concern is that my siblings would challenge it?

Where can I get a revocable living trust?

I’m looking into estate planning. I have a last will and testament but my wife and I would prefer to do a revocable living trust. Is this something that we need a lawyer for?

The reason I ask is that we were referred to a site by friends last year. They downloaded the forms, filled them in and that was it, at least that is what they said.

We aren’t sure if that would work for us since we have property in different states. Maybe we can use one joint living trust and put all of our real estate into it. Where can we get more information and is there a good source for a revocable trust online?

Okay so I just failed a course in college, and want to go to medical school…did I just hurt my chances?

Okay so in my biology class I got an A+, in my Old Testament class I got an A, in my calculus class I got a B+, and in my spanish class I got a A+…and my two other clasees are pass/nopass and i passed both of them..
so my grades look great, except for a fitness class i failed it.

Why? becuase it was all done online, and i had a tendency to forget the weekly quizzes, so ALL my fault.

This is my first semester in college and my dream is to go to medical school, will any even consider accepting me now? I will certainly retake the class and make sure I get an A in next time, but will that retake on my transcript screw everything up for me?

Oh and my other things on my resume are that I am involved in student leadership, student activities, and volunteer for a program called green corps(mentoring children every week)…and I am already set up to do a ‘shadow a doctor program’ this summer. So i am building up my resume…

everything else is great, except for this one little screw up….so my question is should i just consider changing my dream to go to medical school, even though I know this is the only thing i will be happy doing?

Joshua also appears in one post-exilic passage in the Heb. ot (Neh. 8:17) as Ye-šûa` the son of Nun, and not as in the older texts Yehôšoa.

The Encyclopedia Dictionary of the Bible, by Louis Hartman, pages 1141-1142, shows us this:

Jesus. This name in english is a transcription of the Latin Jesus, which represents the Greek form, of the Hebrew name, yeš­a` (à Jesua), itself a late form, by vowel dissimilation, of yoš­a` (Jesua), a contracted form of yehos­a` , “Yahweh is salvation.”

What did they mean by “That Prophet?” We of course, know who the “Christ” is. After all, Christians should know that “Christ” is merely a shortened form of the Koine Greek word “christos,” intended to mean the Hebrew word “Messiah.”

The Jews of two thousand years ago were definitely looking for the Messiah, who it was foretold in their books, would come and lead them to victory over their oppressors and thus gain for them mastery over this world. They were very oppressed under Roman domination and even their own Jewish kings were seen as nothing more than puppets or agents for the disbelievers. Certainly, they would have been most happy to see someone come on the scene who would defeat their Roman masters and slave drivers.

Then the priests and Levites asked John the Baptist if he might be the prophet Elijah, returning back after hundreds of years being away. There was the notion amongst them that Elijah would come back. But again, John the Baptist is denying he is Elijah.

Then, who is he? They wonder at this man living out in the desert and forsaking wealth and luxury and fasting, avoiding the material attractions of life.

Again, they ask John the Baptist who he is. “Are you THAT Prophet?” And one more time he denies being “THAT Prophet,” but then he does tell them about someone who will come after him soon, whom he claims he is not worthy to even unlace his shoes.

However, this does not answer the question, “Who were they expecting besides the Messiah?” Could it be they were looking for someone like Muhammad? (Could be)

For centuries Muslims have believed Jesus, peace be upon him, was “THAT Prophet” mentioned in these words of the Gospel of John. The Quran states one of the important features of Jesus’ mission was to give the “bashir” or ‘glad tidings’ of the coming of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him. During his short missionary career that lasted not more than three years, and which was overshadowed by the hostile attitude of his own people, Jesus gave them the good news of Ahmad, (one of the forms of “Muhammad”) the last messenger of God, who would perfect the divine teaching both in theory and in practice. The Quran mentions that, Jesus says:

“O Children of Israel! I am the messenger of Allah {Almighty God} (sent) to you, confirming the Law (Torah or Old Testament) before me, and giving glad tidings of a messenger to come after me, whose name shall be Ahmad.” (Surah 61:6)
The Quran gives the name as Ahmad, one of several ways to say Muhammad’s name. Just as we have in English the name Joseph, and often use a shorter form such as “Joe” or the familiar form, “Joey,” and other names like “Jonathan” which becomes “John”; “Jack” or “Johnny”, so in the same way we find Arabic has similar forms for a name. Muhammad, Ahmad and Hamad are a few of the names originating from the root word, “hamd” (meaning ‘praise) in Arabic, and can be understood as “The one who praises (God)”; “the praised one”; “praising”; etc.

Abdullah Yusuf Ali in his translation of the meanings of the Quran to English, he states, “Ahmad or Muhammad, the Praised One is a translation of the Koine Greek word Periclytos. In the present gospel of John 14:16, 15:26 and 16:7, the Greek word Paracletos is translated in the NIV as Comforter. Paracletos can mean an Advocate, or “one called to the help of another”, “a kind friend.” Muhammad, peace be upon him, was known from birth as one who brought comfort and reconciliation to family, friends and strangers alike, especially in bringing together the ties of kinship and brotherly love.

Another nick name of the prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, mentioned in the Bible (or at least what is left of it in the English language) is “The Spirit of Truth.” As-Saddiq means exactly that and it is was another name given to Muhammad, peace be upon him, by those who knew his proclivity for honesty and integrity.

The New Testament Gospel according to John, Jesus, peace be upon him, promises them the Paracletos will come four times (John 14:16; 14:26; 15:26; 16:7). Naturally, Jesus, peace be upon him, did not return in their lifetime nor did any other prophet for that matter, so later thinkers came up with the notion that it was not Jesus “in person” but rather, Jesus coming back in “spirit form.” This led some Christians to assert, this was to be the Holy Spirit, who would descend upon the disciples on the Day of the Pentecost (Acts 2), to witness Christ and lead them into the whole truth and to be with the believers forever, and they would not die (John 3:16), but have everlasting life. Also, some added verses later (see footnotes to Revised Standard Version of the Bible) to the very last chapter of Mark (16), wherein, they have the Spirit coming upon them in such a way they imagined themselves going to be able to speak with new languages; pick up snakes, lay hands on the sick to cure them and even drink poison and nothing would hurt them. [Luke 23:17-18]

Another point is, the Paracletos, comforter or the Spirit of truth, was going to dwell with us from now on. Certainly anyone could see Muhammad’s influence and his message of worshipping only One God without any partners has prevailed long after his earthly life.

So I used to think that God and Jesus were the same person. That God put himself into a baby boy (Jesus) and God came to earth in human form called Jesus. I was reading the New Testament in my Bible last night and it had alot of parts where Jesus was praying to God. If they’re the same, why would Jesus pray to himself? And it says also that we have Jesus to help us know God more. So do we have to get through Jesus to know God? And then another part says that Jesus is in God, God is in Jesus. I know that Jesus is God’s son but couldn’t God have just done all that Jesus does himself? And then I started thinking that God sent Jesus to give normal people an example of what perfect is. Couldn’t have just sent himself down into human form or did he already do that by sending Jesus? And some other part in the Bible said that we can’t do anything throught Jesus without God’s power or something like that?? So then I just started thinking that Jesus is nothing special, he’s just an ordinary human and God is just making him do things, not by his own will. So mainly my question is are they the same person? Or two different people. And it says that Jesus sits at the right hand of God in Heaven and that no one has seen the face of God but there are pictures of Jesus all over.
So are God and Jesus the same? But if you could, please answer as many questions from above as you can. Thank you.

An idea’s confidentiality?

Hi All. I need your help to tell how to protect my idea from being stolen while I’m preparing to do demonstration about it and how it will be very useful for the company that I am working in.
During this preparation, I need some authority to use some software tools which needs my manager’s and others approval for letting me setup them on my work PC.
I can’t use my home PC, because I need some information from my company’s database to use it for creating my project, add to that it can’t be transferd.
How to keep my idea as a secret while having others help?

Are these signs that my job is in jeopardy?

OK, I’ve been at my current job for almost 16 years (I am a medical transcriptionist/typist for a mental health facility).

Our CEO (I’ll call him Arthur) retired in 2008 after almost 30 years. His CEO position was taken by the Clinical Director (I’ll call her Kelly). While Kelly can run the company more efficiency from a financial standpoint (Arthur tended to make what sometimes turned out to be unnecessary purchases in regards to property for “expansion” of the agency), the agency no longer has a climate of goodness and the morale is low. Even several the mainstays there who have been there longer than I have are getting ready to quit.

My boss (I’ll call her Cookie) is a real sweetheart, but her health is quickly deterioriating due to a kidney disease. She will be getting a kidney transplant and will be out most of the year. She may even be retiring soon.

Here is where I come in: Her assistant (I’ll call her Scratch) is also the purchase agent for the agency and also is the daughter of the president of the Board of Directors. Some of my job duties have been given to Scratch, leaving me with just typing minutes of meetings, typing doctor’s notes, and creating template forms (as needed). They let Scratch get away with not notifying the agency when she’ll be in. They may be practicing favoritism here.

In addition, they will be going completely automated as far as software and typing notes, and the doctor’s notes may be outsourced. There is also talk of them making some support staff part-time from their existing full-time status. Also, the other day, the computer guys were desperately needing help for somebody to statistically enter data into the computer in preparation for this automated changeover. I found out this was something I could do, and that I could do really fast because I type 140 WPM, but they refused my help (whereas in the past, they normally would not have).

At this time, I really like my job. I live 30 miles away from my current job, but my boss Cookie lets me work at home once a week and at the agency I work upstairs and everyone is informal, i.e., walks around barefoot, because nobody can get up there except for me and Data Processing & Computer staff.

However, for the first time in nearly 16 years, I no longer feel 100% secure. Should I put my feelers out there? (I know the local Indian Hospital which is one mile away from where I live desperately needs people for their Medical Records department). At the same time, however, my husband, his parents, and my parents would be supremely disappointed should I leave a steady job. Should I wait until they are more serious about making cuts? (I type the Management Team meeting, so I usually know company business that other staff don’t — and I usually know when they are serious about doing something).

How’s this for my backup plan for catching my roommate in the act of doing weed?

In case Plan A doesn’t work (maybe there’s still not enough evidence), I will try to get video/photo evidence of my roommate doing marijuana in the privacy of our bathroom.

So here’s the preparation phase:
1. I move my 24-pack water bottle set into the corner of the bathroom a few days before I plant the surveillance device, an Eyetoy (for PS2), in the water bottle pack. I’ll let him get used to its presence…that’s why I’m giving it a few days before I plant in the Eyetoy. If he asks me about why the water bottle pack is there, I’ll just say I’m trying to make space for my shelf. It is the trojan horse of this plan.

2. I prepare the Eyetoy by wrapping the camera part with tissue paper to make it less noticeable and also wrapping the usb cable with tissue paper to make the cable camouflage with the bathroom wall. I might use an object like a backpack or something to block the sight of the cable.

3. I cut a water bottle in half or close to half and plant it in the middle of the water bottle pack upside down, being surrounded by other water bottles. It will serve as the platform for which to hold the Eyetoy.

4. I install the Eyetoy PC driver for Windows Vista on my laptop (so I can use Eyetoy on my laptop) and also a Webcam video recording program that captures video or photos.

4. Now it’s time to plant the Eyetoy into the trojan horse. I’ll lay it on top of the water bottle platform from Step 3. I must angle the camera at the right angle so it can capture the picture/video of my roommate smoking weed. Alternatively, I could just have it focus on the hiding place of the weed (which I know where it is). I’ll cut a hole in the plastic wrapping of the water bottle pack. The water bottles, plastic wrap, and the tissue paper will conceal the Eyetoy.

So that is the end of the preparation….now for the fun part.

When my roommate decides to have another weed session in the bathroom, I’ll quickly connect the Eyetoy to my laptop, run the webcam video recording software. And record the footage =) . Then I’ll initiate Plan A. That footage, if done properly, will be ample evidence that will ensure his downfall if the search done by the police from Plan A doesn’t work.

Like I said in my entry for Plan A, I’m doing this for getting even with my roommate after being such a prick to me. Luckily for him, we’re in California, so weed possession is decriminalized. Hopefully he doesn’t get convicted of obstruction of justice for lying to the police about not having weed….otherwise he’ll get at least 6 months of jail time. I don’t hate him that much to wish him that.

So what do ya’ll think?

If I don’t video capture him smoking weed….how else can I find evidence? He’s just going to quickly discard and flush down the weed when the cops come….
Ah you guys don’t understand….it’s not the weed I’m bothered by…..it’s how this guy has been treating me that’s making me want to do this….
