Can an executor of Estate pocket some money for their own use???

Okay my wife’s mother-in-law recently passed away… in her last will and testament, she named my wife, her 2 sisters, and one grandson as beneficiaries of her life insurance… The executor is planning to use money to pay off some of the estate, which is fine I see how that can fit in to the setting… however… the executor is planning to also pull some money to pay for a truck that has no involvement with the estate of my wife’s late mother in law… Can the executor do this???

In ohio, when someone has a will and they die, do the heirs have to get an attorney and probate the will?

My mother-in-law died recently and left all of her estate to my father-in-law (which is only right). Someone told my husband and sister-in-law that her will doesn’t have to go through probate and they don’t need an attorney.

Does anyone out there know anything about Montana probate and will laws?

My mother-in-law passed away on September 29, 2007. She left no will. For the last 3 years we have taken care of Mom. Now his brother, who has had little contact with her for the last few years wants it all. There is also a brother who is mentally handicapped and who we promised to take care of. Any serious help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you ahead of time.
