Legal Question about probate and will in IL?
My grandmother passed away in May of 07 and my aunt was declared executor, she didn’t file for probate until sept (4 months later) and now in January still nothing. When ever myself, my mother or my siblings try to contact her to find out what is going on she doesn’t answer our calls or return them. But my question is shouldn’t it be done and over with by now. No one has contested the will. Thank you
Also my uncle (my mom’s brother) is/has been living in my grandmothers house, this whole time.

I have ownership to a insurance policy my Mom left my Dad wants me to sign it over to him do I have ro?
My Mom passed away a few months ago and my father already remarried. I recieved a letter from my dad asking me to sign ownership of a life insurance policy my Mom had to him. If I don’t he said he will probate the will. My dad has given his new wife all of my Moms’ jewlry and my siblings and I nothing. Now he comes up with this. Do I have to sign? If he probates it will he win? I have never even seen my Moms will – should I ask for a copy? The woman he married is wanting him to now leave her everything when he dies. My Mom wanted everything split equally between the kids before she died and I am sure she never thought my dad would remarry 4 months after her death and after 49 years of marriage. My Dad is also very ill. Does anyone have any answers or advise? I could really use some feed back.

What happens in Texas if you do not probate a will that was never signed?
My mother passed away last year and I need to get her estate put into my name. Are there any loop holes that I could use to get the deed to the land and house into my name. Could you use taxes payed for a certain amount of years to claim the land. Or do my drug using half siblings get there chunk of the house that my father built, because the laws of this state dont help childeren who drop out of college to help there parents when they are dying of cancer.

Law Professionals Only,Probate Question ?
What happens if one sibling contests the power of attorney ,on basis because they want to be power of attorney? If one sibling is contesting that power of attorney is incapable of handeling the will, even though this sibling is lying, then what? How about if this sibling who is contesting this, and refusing to sign the probate papers, is Mentally ill, and making up stories about power of attorney, just to take control, then what? There are three siblings here, and only one is refusing to sign the papers, as well as trying to declare power of attorney incompetent. How long will probate be then, if this occurs, since bills and everything else must be paid? The will is clear, and states exactly what it wants, however there is no end clause in it. Please don’t reply if you don’t know, or a non-professional in this field. All scams and odd replies will be reported. Thanks
