Your Questions About Living Will Form Pa

Linda asks…
What will happen when the US confronts China as the next Superpower in 20 years?
The 2008 BJ Olympics will be an f’n eye opener for most AMerican homebodies…that’s for sure. Most economists think that the Chinese conomy will overtake that of the US by 2020-30…
whereas my educated and historical guess is that the US is in for a huge watershed in the next 25-50 years…think about it…the US will have another revolution in 50 years…1760 (Revolution); 1860s (Civil War); 1960s (Assisinations/Civil/Women’s Liberties); 2060s (All hell breaks loose)??
by the time the US has formed some kind of ‘reality’ towards its own citizens abd its foreign policy, China will be far ahead.
Imagine if China ever became the #1 purchaser of its own products?
Long live the BRIC alliance. Brazi/S.America, Russia, India & China?
It would be unstoppable? n’est pas?

MonroyPro answers:
You need to realize and with Chinas’ satellite shot wake up and smell the roses; going to the US Army War College. China can deliver a nuclear blow, as well as, a man power blitz. In October 1950, China entered the Korea war and kicked our butts. They dared us to drop the atomic bombs on them. They knew their population was so large that for us to be able to put a dent in it would have caused so much atomic energy to have been expended the world as we knew it would have ceased to exist. Well, they have even more people now; we would have a hard time using nukes on North Korea, as due to their proximity to South Koreas we would be killing an ally. The North Koreans rolled over the South in 1950 but would have a harder time this time but would prevail. Japan has a non-aggression Constitution but I believe they would have to come to the aid of the South. If not and the North wins and eventually rolling over Japan. I don’t think American could stop them this time, too much political correctness plus bog brother China. No, North Korea would not be someone anyone should wake up! Oh and by the way, our defeat and China winning would have nothing to do with our forces being any where else. As the CIA tried to tell every President from Truman to Regan, you can have a superior ship or aircraft but if you have three ships, firing at the one or five jets to the one the many will win. For example, the CIA and NSA now are admitting the new diesel class sub by the Russians; North Koreans and Chinese are as quiet as our Nukes. The only advantage of our nukes submarines is they run longer.
No, only kids, literates and that bunch of professional losers believe that garbage of aggression. Have you ever wondered why China is everyone friend and why everyone in a political situation listens to them and takes their advise? Instead of butting in and telling a country what to do, killing someone to get it down the Chinese listen then listen some more negotiating any and everything and you know what it works.
By now you’re as pissed as I was when I learned of this revelation. Let me make you madder there are military who rather then planning their retirement at one of the weapons manufacturing companies have been urging changes arguing that with a change in our weapons buying we could easily regain the lead and gain supremacy where the anyone would do as they are now hesitate and say we would take a beating but win. They would instead say that would be too big of a as* whipping so lets kiss and be friends.
When I argued what I thought was true the instructors pointed the Viet Nam and Korean events that being no amount of weapons could or did stop the massive human wave attacks. People need to realize we could use nukes but to get to a point with either Korea or China the Earth would be poison. But again there are weapons systems that we could obtain that would resolve this problem.
God Bless You and The Southern People.

Taxes with 1099 MISC and out-of state income?
Ok. I’m trying to complete my fiance’s federal, state, and local taxes and it’s very confusing. Here’s the situation:
- He is a resident of PA, however lived (with friends) and worked for 10 months last year in OH
- He has 1 W2 from PA, 1 W2 from OH, and 1 1099MISC from OH
Federal taxes are pretty much taken care of because I did them through TurboTax and it walks you through doing it.
State taxes are complicated. Does he need to file state taxes in both OH and PA (2 separate filings)? If so, do we only report the 1 W2 from PA on the PA filing and the W2 and 1099MISC on the OH filing?
Also, I have the school district local tax form from our PA district, but will his OH wages count for that, or will he have to submit a separate form for OH? And if so, where does that form come from?

MonroyPro answers:
Not to be harsh, but you’re foolish for thinking you can do this yourself.
Lived with friends in OH for 10 months? First question, which you won’t know the answer to, “Did his activities in OH meet the statutory requirements to be considered ‘temporary employment?’”
What are the statutes?
No, Turbo Tax isn’t going to walk you through the issues you need to walk through. Just because you can punch in enough numbers to get a clear diagnostic message doesn’t mean you have the return right.
If the employment was temporary, there’s a possibility of deducting transportation and temporary living expenses, which can be a big deduction. But you have to know what you’re doing.
From a state standpoint, whether the activity meets the definition of “temporary” determines whether the taxpayer is considered a PA resident with out-of-state income from OH, or whether the taxpayer is considered a part-year resident. Filing is different.
It reminds me of the commercial where the guy is on the phone standing in the kitchen with a steak knife talking to a surgeon on the phone who’s telling him how to do his own appendectomy.
Get professional assistance. People don’t realize the system is set up so if you don’t know what you’re doing, you lose. In this situation you could be leaving hundreds if not thousands of dollars on the table. But don’t let that stop you from thinking a free software program will turn you into a tax expert.

Steven asks…
i sent out my forms for my income tax?
I sent my forms out for my income tax on March 14th through the mail. How long will it take for them to send me back my income tax check. I live in pittsburgh,pa.

MonroyPro answers:
From the IRS received date it takes 6-12 weeks to process your return. Contact IRS at 1-800-829-1040 to make sure return has been received and they can give you and idea when to expect your refund, or check IRS website “where’s my refund” it will give you a date of when your refund will be issued, at least you will know return was received.

Social Security survivor benefits and buying a house?
I have 2 children age 8 and 13. Their father passed away last month. The girls are eligible for SS survivor’s benefits. I work full time as supervisor and make halfway decent money as well. So there are no other “benefits” involved. I am a single mother, and have always taken good care of my girls, even in past times where we were dirt poor…….I have not eaten many times to make sure they do. So without question I will use this money in my girls best interest. That is not the question here. We live in a tiny apartment with not much furniture, because no space for it. My boyfriend and I are currently buying a nice house (with 100% our money which has been saved for a year, not from gov’t.), and things will be much better for all. Am I allowed to use said survivors benefits toward paying for the house and furnishing, repairs if needed for the first year? How do I properly report this on yearly benefits reporting form that SSA will send out? Also, am I allowed to purchase CD’s to save money for the kids, as they have the best interest yield? If he filed at one point for SSD and was denied, but deemed disabled by a Dr. at time of death (but did not file again) can the girls collect disability money that could be his? He had small cell lung cancer that spread to liver. His initial filing was not cancer, but never bothered filing again because of his initial denial.
I have looked for information and I cannot find very clear answers. Your help will be appreciated. I live in PA, and survivor’s benefits are not related in any way to SSD or SSI.
And my girls are fine. Somehow they are ok, kids are resilient and my boyfriend and I love them very much. My kids always come before me, and I take the very best care of them. My kids want for nothing! They are straight A students and well behaved, happy kids, I am blessed.
We already qualified for a loan, we are in contract to buy the house, and the down payment is from our savings. I am asking if the kid’s SS survivor money is *allowed* by the government to be used for said purposes once we move in next month. There are rules, but not in black and white. We have not actually received a dime yet, but we will within the next monthe or so. (After the house is purchased.)
This is not a question about obtaining mortgage loan from bank.

MonroyPro answers:
The ss money is for the children’s welfare which is housing, food, clothing, medical and entertainment.
So 1/4 your mortgage payment is the children’s housing.
They need bedroom furniture
What you do is draw up a budget and household expenses divided by four. You, BF, and two children. 1/2 the expenses accrue toward the children. You use the ss money for this. When you fill out the paperwork for SS you have your budget to answer the questions.
There should be enough left from their checks to start college funds.
That should satisfy Social Security

MonroyPro answers:
You can use the survivor benefits for whatever you choose as long as it benefits the children. I received benefits for my son when he was a minor because I am disabled. When the time came to fill out the reporting sheet,I calculated his share of everything in the household as what I used the money for. I calculated his share of the rent, food, utilities, etc and used that amount for the way I spent the money. They don’t ask for specific amounts for each individual item, just how much you spent each year on the children. I was never asked to prove anything with receipts or such.
As far as the CD’s,don’t know if it the same with survivor benefits as it is with dependent benefits, but when my child stopped receiving benefits when he turned 18,SS wanted me to send back any money I had saved for him over the time he was receiving benefits. Guess they figured if I didn’t need it all to support him I should send it back. They will ask you on the reporting sheet how much you saved for your child and what account it is in. I didn’t have any money saved for my child as we needed every penny just to survive. Might not be a good idea to save money somewhere it can be found.
If your children’s father was not approved by SS for disability, they cannot collect from that. It doesn’t matter if a Dr considered him disabled,SS did not approve him for benefits. They wouldn’t be able to collect twice from SS anyway. It would either be dependent benefits from disability or survivor benefits. They both come from the SS fund.
